Camp Themes

Outdoor Creativity with Alex Lane

Campers will stimulate the left side of their brain! Using natural objects and traditional mediums, campers will create everything from paintings to floatation devices!

Imagination and Invention with Sarah Fitzgerald

Campers will use their imagination to redefine fun! With a little twist from the imagination, sports, art, and even space will take on new meanings of fun and creativity. As we learn about inventors and make our own group inventions, campers will realize the amazing power of imagination.

Nature Games! with Leslie Helliwell

Game on! Campers will play and learn (at the same time!). From Predator and Prey to Cougarland and Oh Deer!, campers will have fun, develop communication and social skills, learn to cooperate and follow directions, improve their large motor skills, increase their vocabulary, and gain valuable knowledge that will help in school. Life can’t always be fun and games, but camp can.

After Camp Theme

Mad Science with Meghan Lockwood & Alex Lane

From atoms to xylem, science is what this world is all about. With all of the extraordinary explosions, radical reactions and incredible experiments, science can sometimes be mistaken for magic! In this spectacular scientific week, campers will gain a deeper understanding of the amazing scientific world around them. Through a variety of hands-on, exciting experiments, we’ll have some fun with Carbon Dioxide, meet some magical molecules, experiment with a guy named Newton, learn the science of colors, discover that water is not always what it seems, and dive into some slime.

Stay Tuned for ENC Summer Science School (Nature Camp)

The ENC Nature Camp Science Summer School is a natural science enrichment program offered to elementary students who are entering Kindergarten through 6th grade. Since 1977, Nature Camp has provided quality science education in an outdoor, hands-on setting. Students are introduced to environmental/natural science concepts in a variety of creative ways. The curriculum is carefully integrated with hands-on activities to enhance and reinforce the learning experience. Information about Summer 2012 will be posted at ENC Nature Camp web page around February 2012.
